Best Western launches gift card campaign to encourage traveling

As an incentive, the motel chain is offering lodgers promotion gift cards valued at $50 if they register for the promotion and stay at Best Western hotels three separate times.

Best Western recently announced its newest campaign to encourage travelers to hit the road and stay at hotels along the way. As an incentive, the motel chain is offering lodgers promotion gift cards valued at $50 if they register for the promotion and stay at Best Western hotels three separate times.

The Best Western Travel Card is a custom gift card that can be redeemed like cash at any credit card terminal in the chain’s 4,100 hotels across the country. Additionally, the company is trying to lure visitors with 1,000 rewards bonus points when they pay with a Best Western brand credit card during their stays.

When cardholders accumulate enough rewards points from their cards, they can redeem these for gift cards to Amazon.com, Sports Authority, Walmart, Staples, iTunes and Best Buy, among others.

“We realize gas prices are high, and we want families to be able to enjoy their summer vacations,” said Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Best Western International. “We hope this promotion and bonus Travel Card will encourage them to hit the road and spend quality time together.”
