Customers at Bank of America will be able to sign up for three new credit card programs that give added travel rewards.

Customers at Bank of America will be able to sign up for three new credit card programs that give added travel rewards.

The major financial institution announced the introduction of BankAmericard Privileges with Travel Rewards, World Points Travel Rewards for Business and BankAmericard Travel Rewards. All of the programs come free of blackout dates, exceptions or foreign transaction fees. The brand is hoping to make the process easier for frequent travelers and help avoid headaches with the merchant services program.

“Our customers told us they wanted a travel card that gave them the flexibility to use points for travel-related expenses without a lot of hoops to jump through,” said consumer and small business products executive Susan Faulkner in a statement. “With these new travel cards, customers can earn reward points faster and can choose any airline, hotel or other travel provider for their travel plans.”

Consumers are increasingly turning to credit to fund expenses. A report from the Federal Reserve found that credit rose $21.4 billion in March, the sharpest increase since November 2001.
