A leading credit card firm recently announced that it was launching a brand-new tool for its existing iPad program that will give customers another way to learn.

Citi announced that it recently created an upgrade for its Citibank for iPad App, which was first launched in July 2011, to give users a better way to stay informed and take a look at online recurring billing. Customers who own the device are able to keep track of transactions and other information, but now new visual tracking and account analysis tools are also available.

“Based on the extremely positive feedback about Citibank for iPad from our bank customers and their extensive use of the app’s unique account analysis tools, we set out to offer credit card customers that same advanced access to mobile financial management, and now we have,” said Tracey Weber, head of internet and mobile banking, North America consumer banking at Citi.

Citi made other news recently when it sent out tax forms to customers who took advantage of frequent flier miles. In a statement to The Associated Press, the financial institution stated that the value was treated as “income and subject to reporting.”
