People who must travel often for business can find it stressful to go from place to place, without having a nice area to rest their feet, read a newspaper and simply relax. As a result, most airports offer some type of private lounge that gives access to those who sign up.

In an effort to appeal to the busy traveler in need of lounge access, there are many credit card companies offering programs for this purpose. A recent CreditRatings.com article examined some of the most popular programs of this type.

One of the first offerings examined was American Express Platinum Card, which will give users access to over 600 different lounges around the world. In addition, people will be able to pay $27 to let friends into the club as well.

Another program available is the Citi Executive / AAdvantage World Elite MasterCard. The card program will give people the chance to gain access to more than 30 Admiral’s Clubs in the United States and many others around the world.

When engaging in merchant-services related operations, credit card users will be able to get points and rewards that will benefit them down the line.
