It’s incredible how quickly consumers have moved online. Today, mobile technology is around 30% of all U.S. e-commerce sales, so clearly customers love the convenience of shopping via a mobile device. This change in consumer behavior will only accelerate as companies introduce more ways to meet demand for easier and faster online transactions.
Despite this trend, customers are still concerned about the safety of e-commerce. Forty-five percent of online households report that privacy and security concerns stopped them from conducting financial transactions, buying goods or services, posting on social networks or expressing opinions online. Of this worried number, a third specifically cite concerns regarding credit card and bank fraud.
