Fandago partners with PayPal for mobile payments

One of the most popular movie websites recently made headlines after it came to an agreement with PayPal to give consumers the chance to pay with mobile devices.

Fandago announced that it had reached a deal with the company to give iPhone and Android phone users the chance to download applications to buy tickets to films. In a release, the vice president of mobile at PayPal, David Marcus, said that the merchant services method was being adopted by a wide variety of consumers.

“Millions of PayPal customers globally make payments through mobile devices, so combining our frictionless mobile payments experience with Fandango‚Äôs iPhone and Android apps makes ticket purchasing easier and faster than ever before,” said Marcus in a release. He went on to say that as much as 20 percent of the firm’s sales were made with mobile devices

PayPal made other news when it reported solid gains during the Cyber Monday holiday. Occurring just days after Thanksgiving, the relatively new online payment processing event has been a boon for many retailers.
