MasterCard recently announced that it had come to terms with a mobile rewards application maker to give its customers the chance to reap benefits for purchases.
In a statement, the major credit card company said it reached an agreement with shopkick to create a rewards program for spending money with the brands’ card. Those who use the program will be able to take advantage of shopkick’s Buy & Collect program, which can be redeemed for gift cards, music downloads and loads more items.
“Our partnership with shopkick helps us continue to meet our cardholders’ demand for great deals and a more ‘rewarding’ shopping experience,” said Mario Shiliashki, group head of emerging payments at MasterCard. “We’ll be able to help consumers maximize rewards while also supporting their interests and passions, all through the simple download of the app and linking their MasterCard card.”
MasterCard has been rolling out other merchant services strategies as well to help increase profits. Earlier this month the company announced that it would be be partnering with 7-Eleven to distribute PayPal Prepaid MasterCards at the convenience stores nationwide.Back To Blog
