Residents in Dubai will soon have a brand new option when it comes to paying for items with credit cards.

Residents in Dubai will soon have a brand new option when it comes to paying for items with credit cards.

In a recent statement, Emirates NBD, the largest bank in Dubai, Visa International and the Roads and Transport Authority created a new card that will allow users to better get through transit payment processes. The Go4it credit card can be used on the RTA transit network, at parking meters and at a number of different outlets as well.

Those involved in the card’s launch said that the time was right for this type of product and that many would find it useful.

“The multi-functional co-branded Go4it card is in line with our joint focus on customer convenience, and has been specially designed to incorporate a variety of benefits and advantages, while meeting the needs of regular users of Dubai’s public transport systems,” said Rick Pudner, chief executive office for Emirates NBD.

Visa made other news when it unveiled a different program in recent weeks. The credit card firm launched Visa Developer Center to help makers of payment apps get more assistance on the merchant services sector.
