A new survey reveals employers don’t have to spend a lot of money to show their appreciation and boost employee morale this holiday season. The survey, conducted by benefits consulting company Parago, revealed that prepaid reward cards are much-appreciated by many workers.
According to Workforce.com, the poll of more than 600 people found that most individuals (69 percent) don’t expect a holiday or end-of-year gift from their employers and are appreciative of even small gestures. More than 60 percent said a $25 prepaid reward card is ideal, and 85 percent said they’d be happy with a card containing $100 or less.
Regardless of whether or not employees expect a gift, experts say giving one can boost productivity and loyalty to the company. Personalized or branded reward cards also help firms with their marketing efforts.
“Recipients love the freedom of being able to choose where to spend their rewards, and businesses that use prepaid cards as incentives benefit from having their brand displayed whenever and wherever the card is used. It really is a win-win for both the giver and receiver,” said David Jones, CEO of CardLab.
