Many retailers know that to best serve patrons, they need to use the best customer service strategies possible. Forming a strong relationship with the individuals that frequent the store can boost revenue and ensure the company has regular shoppers for years to come.

One aspect of customer service is giving patrons what they want, whether that includes stocking the shelves with sought-after products or providing the best merchant services at payment gateways. Some highly successful shop owners have been able to pair the two, with great results.

For instance, Home Depot now uses information obtained at credit card terminals to better connect with patrons. According to Business Insider, when people shop using a credit card that has been linked in the past to an online account either over the internet or in a brick-and-mortar location, the customer soon receives an email about the transaction.

The news outlet explained that this is a safe tactic, noting that the credit card numbers are always protected, as a reference code is given to cards. Other store owners may want to look into this strategy to better provide suggestions and information to their patrons.
