TGI Firday’s introduces improved mobile app for payments

August 10, 2012

Thanks to the rapid pace of technology, some well-known chains are giving customers the chance to pay through a mobile application.

For decades, people have sat at tables waiting for checks to arrive after finishing meals at restaurants. However, thanks to the rapid pace of technology, some well-known chains are giving customers the chance to pay through a mobile application.

In a release, T.G.I. Friday’s announced that it had come out with the new program that will give users the chance to pay directly from smartphones or start an ongoing tab. The sophisticated app also allows users to engage in a social media platform, to tell others more about their experience.
The leadership of the company was pleased with the expanded mobile effort, saying that diners would be able to quickly discover all that the franchise had to offer.

“This new app puts the Friday experience at guests’ fingertips – whether they’re looking for the closest Friday’s to celebrate and indulge or if they want to pay their bar tab quickly,” said Ricky Richardson, chief operating officer at T.G.I. Friday’s.

T.G.I. Fridays began its effort into mobile credit card terminal transactions in April. Venture Beat reported that the chain worked with Tabbedout to help users of iPhones and Androids pay with phones.
