Virgin Mobile stated that it would be offering plans for iPhones beginning on June 29, according to a recent release.

The new program will allow those signing up for Virgin’s prepaid plan, which requires no contract, to get the popular device, which is made in China. One of the major selling points in the new product is the opportunity to take advantage of mobile credit card payments. The brand is hoping to get more people to sign on for emerging payment methods.

“Customers can receive a $5 per-month plan discount when they register for automatic monthly payments with a credit card, debit card or PayPal account, making iPhone available for as low as $30 per month,” the company stated. “Virgin  Customers can also use their iPhone as a mobile hotspot through Virgin Mobile for an additional $15 per month.”

Apple has been developing mobile applications that seek to further take advantage of its popular mobile device. Computerworld reported that the brand applied for a patent for a near field communication system ahead of its iPhone5 release.
