Visa optimizes gift card offerings

Companies who provide custom gift cards may want to take a page from Visa, which recently made card designs customizable for Christmas online.

For various holidays, birthdays and other events, it can often be easier and much less taxing to just pick up a gift card, rather than spend the time searching for items that may no longer be on the shelves, contending with long lines and wrapping up the gift. Moreover, when someone receives a gift card, they can buy whatever they want, as opposed to being stuck with one gift.

Companies who provide custom gift cards may want to take a page from Visa, which recently made card designs customizable for Christmas online. Not only could consumers pick from a variety of holiday-themed card designs, but they could also choose to upload their own pictures and add a specific dollar value.

After the holidays, there are many other designs that can be chosen from.

This type of option may be lucrative for providers who want to give customers with personalized gift cards that can be distributed to friends, family members or employees. They can also choose to load the card up with money for themselves if they’re interested in paying with a card that is completely unique.
