Sterling Payment Technologies has implemented its Stadium Payment Solution for a second season at the Florida Auto Exchange Stadium (formerly Dunedin Stadium) in Dunedin, Florida. The stadium is the spring training home of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Dunedin Blue Jays Minor League Baseball team.

Sterling’s Stadium Payment Solution is designed to move more people through concession lines faster with two-second credit card transactions and increase dollars per sale. Venues that previously have not accepted credit cards have experienced significant increases in sales because more people were served and the typical customer spends up to 30 percent more when using a credit or debit card.

“I had not accepted cards prior to 2012, but because I served more customers and made more money per customer, I’ll definitely continue to use Sterling’s Stadium Solution,” said Russ Williams of Williams Entertainment, concessionaire for the Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. “It’s fast and easy to operate.”

Sterling’s Stadium Solution also has a wireless option that has made it possible for Williams to accept card payments from outdoor tents, kiosks and carts located throughout the stadium where Internet service is either unavailable or unreliable.

Although the Stadium Solution is cash register-based, it uses a proprietary technology, Sterling BRIDGE™, which allows merchants to access real time sales data on the web and print a variety of sales reports. BRIDGE™ also enables merchants to manage their cash registers from any Internet-connected PC, including updating multiple registers at the same time, and adding, changing and deleting prices and PLUs.

“At Sterling, our goal is to always bring products to the market that help businesses be more profitable and efficient,” said Gary T. Staub, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Sterling. “It means everything to see Russ and Williams Entertainment having such great results with the Stadium Payment Solution.”
